Each integration is designed to make video searchable, accessible and measurable inside the tool where it is used. Learning platforms such as Canvas, Moodle and Brightspace connect through LTI, so video appears directly in the course with no separate login. Recordings from Zoom and Microsoft Teams are picked up automatically, captioned and made searchable. For sign-in and user management, Panopto supports SAML 2.0, Active Directory and OAuth 2.0.

D2L Brightspace
D2L Brightspace
Panopto connects to Brightspace through LTI 1.3 with single sign-on, so teachers record, upload and embed video from inside their courses and students watch it where they already learn. Every course gets its own Panopto folder automatically, and roles and permissions follow the ones set in Brightspace.
- Quiz scores and completion grades can pass to the Brightspace gradebook
- Students can record and submit video assignments without leaving Brightspace
- Video follows the course when it is copied to a new section
- Captions and transcripts are added to every recording
Moodle
The Moodle integration runs on LTI 1.3 or the Moodle plugin, with single sign-on. Each Moodle course is paired with a Panopto folder, and teachers can add video from any topic, forum or assignment, including through a video button in the text editor.
- Roles and permissions follow the course in Moodle, with nothing extra to configure
- Students can submit video assignments directly in Moodle
- Works with both cloud-hosted and self-hosted Moodle

Canvas connects through LTI 1.3 with single sign-on. Teachers use the Panopto video button in the Rich Content Editor to add video to modules, pages, discussions, assignments and quizzes, and the course folder is created for them automatically.

Microsoft Teams
The Panopto app installs directly in Microsoft Teams. Recorded meetings are published to Panopto automatically, captioned and made searchable, and they sit under your organisation’s own retention and access rules instead of in each user’s storage.
